Back to Greenville!

Hi all,

Most of you have probably heard by this point, but yesterday I accepted a position with GE Energy back in Greenville, South Carolina. The role will be in process improvement in the turbine control group. I'll get to work on wind turbines, gas turbines, and steam turbines. It looks like it should be a blast!

We did have several offers that we were working through, but God made it clear yesterday that Greenville was where He wanted us. The neat thing was that He did it before we even received the offer! The offer, which was much better than we expected, was just further confirmation. We have a great God!

So, we've begun to think a little bit about the relocation process. At this point we don't know when they want me to start in Greenville. Hopefully we'll know that by the end of the week. We've done some painting in one of the bathrooms, but getting the place ready to sell is going to be intense. Please pray about selling the house. It's not a good market here. But, we trust God. He wants us to move, so He's going to sell the house.

The picture below shows the guts of one of the gas turbines. Many of you couldn't care less, but I think it's impressive. This machine puts out over 400 Megawatts! (by the way, that's impressive).

Hooray for the new job Jim and Amber. Boo that it is too far away for you to come to our church! We will pray that all would go as planned and God would amaze you as he works out the details of your move.

You guys are doing a great job giving thanks and proclaiming God's goodness in this! We will miss you but because your hearts have been so content it sort of doesn't seem sad. I know God's plans are good and his wisdom is beyond mine, and you two are just living in that truth right now! Thanks for your example and your invitation for prayers and care as you walk through this season. *REMINDER* PLEASE CALL FOR ANYTHING I CAN DO!!!
