Easter Eggs...

Friday night we colored Easter Eggs. Ethan was bursting with enthusiasm, and Micah soon learned how fun it can be. Verity didn't seem too excited, though. Here's a picture of Ethan ready to go, a short slide show of Micah, and a picture of Verity...ready for bed.

The final products!

Saturday night Amber and I took some time to watch a portion of "Matthew," a word-for-word adaptation of the book of Matthew. It's always hard to watch what our Savior endured because of His love for His Father and for us. The physical and spiritual torment He went through was beyond description. Yet through this horrible act came the way that we can be redeemed. Now we can be called the "friends" of God (John 15:15). Now we can have hope in knowing Christ has defeated death, washed away our sin, and provided a way to live forever with God!

On Sunday we all got dressed up to go to church and remember why our faith is not in vain (1 Cor 15:14)! Here are the kiddos in their Sunday best. Micah wasn't a big fan of the tie, but he looked nice in it!
Amber put together a special afternoon dinner for us to enjoy. Ham, sweet potato casserole, green beans, crescent rolls, and dump cake for dessert (one of my absolute favorite desserts!) all on our best dishes. Thank you Sweetie for taking care of our family and honoring us through this special meal! After dinner we enjoyed our Easter baskets and egg hunts. Here are some pictures from the extravaganza. Amber likes to hunt for eggs too, so Ethan and I hid some for her! It was a great weekend enjoying time together as a family, and remembering the sacrifice and resurrection of Christ Jesus.
