A Taste of Bavaria

On the way home from the Georgia Aquarium (see previous post), we stopped in the little town of Helen, Georgia.  It is a quaint town in northern Georgia in which all of the buildings and shops have a strong Bavarian influence.  We stopped at Hofer's to sample some German food and then walked around and looked in shops.

It started to rain so we cut our strolling short, but as you can see from the next picture, Jim and Verity had had enough by then anyway ;-)

Isn't her face hilarious!  Also, I have to point out that if you look closely in the top right part of this picture, you will see the place where we stopped and enjoyed a funnel cake- yummy!  So between the bratwurst and the funnel cake, it wasn't the best Weight Watchers day, but we had a very nice time.  After this, we headed home for church and some much needed rest.  Auf Wiedersehen for now!
