Easter this year was a great time celebrating what Jesus has done for us. Last year Amber purchased "Resurrection Eggs." There are twelve eggs containing something from the Easter story. Everyone gets very excited as we reach the 12th egg. I can't give away what's in there, but it's very exciting, and it's the reason our faith has any hope at all!
Amber's been great at bringing in traditions like this to our family. We do color eggs, too. Check out Amber's rainbow egg! Pretty impressive.
When Sunday came we were up before dawn to attend our 7:30 service. Beforehand, though, we did hunt for our baskets and stuffed animals.
Amber made yummy resurrection rolls for breakfast (they're empty inside)!
...and a special lunch for us to enjoy. Very yummy scones and sandwiches and sparkling grape juice!
Then it was time for the egg hunt. Yes, plastic eggs were used. We decided to go outside this year, and it was a nice change.
It was a wonderful Easter season, and we are so thankful for all that God has done for us. He died and rose. And because he did, God can give me Christ's righteousness. Thank you, God.
