Josiah's First Birthday!

I know the typical thing to say is, "Wow, I can't believe he's one year old already," but I find it hard to believe that Josiah has only been around for one year.  He is sweet and fun.  And we love him!

Micah woke up early this morning because he was so excited that it was his little brother's birthday.  "Guess what, Mommy?  Today is Josiah's birthday!  It's his first birthday!"  Micah wanted to go in with me to greet Josiah in the morning, and even sang "Happy Birthday" to him in his crib.  Such precious moments!

Here's Josiah with his birthday cake later on in the day.

After we sang to him, we gave him his own little cake to eat.  He wasn't really sure what to think about the messy frosting.  He just kind of stared at it on his fingers.  No crying, no smiling, just staring.  Eventually he tasted it. He liked it better when we fed it to him.

This one is my favorite shot that Jim got of Josiah (obviously pre-cake :-).  It captures his sweet smile and sparkling eyes.  What a joy he is!
