Memorial Day Weekend Fun

Last weekend we enjoyed our extra day with Daddy. The boys, including Micah, camped out back on Friday night. Here they are setting up the tent. The boys had a great time, but I'm not sure that Jim got a whole lot of sleep that night ;-)

Later on that weekend we went to a free model train display in the area. The display had lots of buttons to push, which is always fun. Ethan and Micah were even able to climb into Thomas and pull on the train whistle. Choo choo!

Outside they had a small train car for the kids to climb into. Verity had a good time, too, even though she never left the stroller.

Later on that day we cooled off in the little pool in the backyard... or at least that was the thought. It was the first time that Verity had ever gone into a pool. As you can see in the picture, she wasn't so sure about it.

Later on the boys got in, and it was, well, a disaster. There was too much water in there for it to be safe for Micah to walk around in so we were worried about him. Then Ethan got in, and that's when the real problems started. We told him that he could have fun, but he couldn't splash or be too crazy because of Micah... yeah right. Needless to say Ethan had to get out of the pool because he was being too crazy, which he wasn't too happy about. And then to top it all off, it started to rain! Oh well.

(On a side note, we went into the pool yesterday, and it went much better with less water in there. We only had to tell Ethan to not kick the water at Micah so he didn't kick him in the face, and then there was the time that I told Ethan to look at me so I could take his picture and he didn't realize that he probably should stop shooting water out of the SuperSoaker BEFORE turning towards Mommy and getting her and the camera wet :-) I probably should have clarified)

Nice!!! Glad that it went better the second time around! Ah, Ethan, he is to much!!! To bad you didn't get either experiences on tape! That would have been hysterical!

They are all getting so big Amber! So sweet. I love seeing all the photos. Verity is adorable. And it looks like she has two really sweet big brothers! That'll come in handy later in life. :O) Miss you guys. God bless.

Oh that Verity is getting too big! What sweet pictures of the two of you!
Sorry about Ethan getting a little too crazy with his little brother. Unfourtuanetly it doesn't get any better when they are 8 and almost 6!
