Sunday was a beautful day we were able to really enjoy. After church we enjoyed some Mexican food at one of our favorite restaurants from our previous stint in South Carolina. Then we went over to Niven's Apple Farm for what is fast becoming a fall tradition. Ethan enjoyed running around and playing with 'friends'. Micah, once he was awake, enjoyed the animals. Here he is with Amber seeing the baby chicks. He had just woken up! By the time we reached the cow, though, he was really into it.We had to convince Micah that the pumpkins were not apples. Once he understood that, he was excited about the "pun-KEEns". Here's Micah finding a pumpkin out in the fields.
Here are the kids sitting in the grass and sitting with the pumpkins. They are fun pictures.
After Nivens, we ran home for dinner. The kids changed into their costumes for Boo in the Zoo. Oddly enough there were very few animals in the zoo. I guess it was just a way to raise revenue when people normally don't visit the zoo. But, the boys loved it. They really enjoyed seeing the other kids in their costumes. One couple had converted their stroller into a UPS truck. It was pretty clever. Micah really liked the Thomas the Train costumes. Here are the pictures from the event. It was great!
God gave us a really nice day together. It was beautiful and a lot of fun.
