Soccer Season is Over

So about a month ago, Ethan finished his soccer season.  He really grew in his ability to play the sport throughout the season.  He had a great time playing with the other kids, and he especially enjoyed it if his team won (he would always know what the score was throughout the game even though an official score was never kept).  He did a great job learning how to be aggressive and worked hard to win and lose graciously.  We are very proud of him!

The last game of the season the kids "played" the parents (meaning that everyone was on the field together, but the game was more about making sure each kid had a chance to score a goal than about true competition... the kids were only 5 and 6 years old after all).  The kids won in a landslide 17-5 game (Ethan being the only one on the field who knew this score).  In the picture above he is celebrating a goal made by his team.  Afterward, we had a pizza party complete with soccer ball cupcakes.  The kids all got trophies.  Here is Ethan with Coach Israel and his trophy.
