1 Trip to Sesame Place, 2 Days Traveling to SC, and 3 Days in New House... Ah-Ah-Ah

What a week this has been! One week ago, the movers came to pack up our stuff in PA, and now we are somewhat settled into our new home in SC. The day of our move my parents took us (all but Jim) to Sesame Place where we got to play, ride rides, see a parade, and, most importantly, go to Elmo's World. It was a very fun day, and the weather couldn't have been better. Thanks Papa and Noni for the fun day! (Just in case anyone didn't get the title- it was in reference to The Count since we went to Sesame Place).

Friday night all of our stuff was out of the house, and we began the process of cleaning it out. Praise God that we had several of our friends from Care Group come over to help because it was quite a job. Thank you so much for all of your help (and a special thanks to Linda and Xavier for dropping off ice and drinks). Jim and I finished up around 1:30 that night. Even though it was late, we were thankful to be done.

On Saturday, we began our trek to SC- an 11-hour trip that took about 16 (ah the joys of traveling with young children :-) The boys were really good, but it just took much longer than we were hoping.

Sunday, we arrived, did our walk-through, and then headed over to the Stevens' house for some much needed sleep. Monday, Jim went to work for a half-day, and then we closed on the house. The movers came Monday night to start the process (minus air-conditioning and working bathrooms since the previous owner turned all of the utilities off instead of just transferring them to our name..oh well). On Tuesday, they finished moving in all of our stuff. Whew!

So we are moved in, but the dust will take some time to settle. The movers unpacked a good deal of boxes so the house is mostly operational at this point, but there is still quite a bit of work left to do. We are thankful to be here though and thankful that, Lord willing, things will start to settle down a bit. Thank you for all of your prayers during this move! Above is a picture of the boys playing in the new house.

I'm glad you are getting settled in. You'll probably be done before we will. There are still so many boxes left and not enough energy to finish them! Kiss the boys for me.

Thanks for explaining the title - I missed the connection with The Count, but he was always my favorite! It's good to hear an update. Sounds like things are moving along! Love and miss you Kolmuses!
