I meant to post this last week, but things have been a tad bit hectic. On Friday (the 30th), Ethan told Amber that he really loved Jesus a lot. She began asking him questions about Jesus and salvation. Ethan has definitely understood for a while that he is a sinner and that Jesus loves him, and often when he prays he says that he's thankful that Jesus died on the cross and rose again for his sins.The Spirit just brought things together for him. He prayed with Amber asking Jesus to come into his heart!!
That evening Ethan and I went out to spend some time together. I asked him about Jesus and what he and Mommy had prayed about. It was exciting to see how God had worked in his heart! He is only 4, but God is definitely impacting his life! When I came home from work last Monday, Ethan was in the playroom explaining to Micah how much Jesus loved him and how important it was for Micah to love Jesus, too!
At Lowes yesterday Ethan wanted to know why they weren’t playing songs about Jesus over the speakers. I explained to him that many people don’t know or love Jesus and that actually most people don’t know Jesus. Ethan’s response was that he wanted to tell people about Jesus!
Last night as the boys were going to bed, Ethan told me that he wanted to pray and ask Jesus to help him not sin. So, he and I both stopped and prayed that God would give us His strength to avoid sin and to help us turn from it when temptations came.
It has been so neat to see growth in his life. Thank you so much, God, for touching Ethan!

What greater thing can you hope for than for a child or grandchild to give their heart to Jesus.

Your post was yet another reminder of the simplicity of this message of God's love for us...it can be understood and embraced by a 4-year-old just as easily as by a 94-year-old. God's kindness to your family is so wonderful to see. Thanks for sharing this miracle of salvation!

It is so exciting when someone comes to KNOW the Lord! What a greater joy when it is one of our children! God bless you all as you continue to guide Ethan's heart in the love of the Lord. We will pray that the Lord would continue to grant you wisdom in bringing all your children up in Him.
