A few weeks ago my grandparents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. We were excited to go up an be a part of the celebration. Since we were going up, we decided to make a full trip of it. Our first stop was a fun few days with Amber's parents. It was great to get to spend time with them and see what God is doing in their lives. It looks like they'll be moving again to a town closer to their church so that they can minister more effectively in their church and community. It's great to see what God is doing!
While we were there the kids had a blast playing with the dogs, playing Wii, swimming in the pool, and getting to see Thomas! We drove out to Strasburg, PA, to participate in 'A Day With Thomas." It was a little busy there, but the kids had a great time, especially Micah (once we got some food in him ;-). Here we are on the train getting ready to embark on our voyage. Micah is obviously excited!
The boys settled down to enjoy gliding along the tracks and watching the scenery go by.
(This next picture is an addition to the original post, added by Amber. This is classic Papa! Put him on a train, plane, or trolley-car simulator and it doesn't take long before he's snoozing :-) I thought it was too funny to not add ;-)
After the train ride, the kids got to use some muscle to power themselves around the track!
Verity did great...with the help of a few pushes!
There was a fun activity tent with legos, trains, and Thomas tattoos for everyone to enjoy (even Noni got one).
The train of the hour:
While heading out to see the new town Mom and Dad are moving to, we were able to stop off and enjoy taking in a waterfall. Cumberland Falls. It was a great walk along the boardwalk back to the vantage point.
Thanks, Noni and Papa! We had a great time with you!
