A Visit With the Grandparents

We had the fortunate opportunity to visit my grandparents before the big party was to happen.  The kids always love swinging by and playing the piano and with the toys and with the dogs.  And it's always nice to catch up and enjoy hanging out together.  Here's Verity tickling the keys.  Actually, she did a very nice job playing gently!

And then the craziness began!  These kids love to be tickled!!!

And if tickling is happening, Ethan is sure to find it!

There are sweet times, too.  Here's Verity giving Great-Grandpop a big hug.

It was nice being able to spend time with them.  I learned a lot this time about the Korean War, F4U-4 Corsairs, the USS Boxer, and all sorts of bits of information that I didn't know before.  Amber and I started watching the "Victory at Sea" series to learn more.  Granted, that's specifically World War II, but the ships and aircraft and warfare were pretty similar.  It certainly has helped us gain a much greater appreciation for the men who were willing to go off and fight in those wars, and for the amount of gratitude we really should show them.

Thanks Grandmom and Grandpop for dinner and for letting us visit!
