Christmas on the Road- Part 3... the Finale

Okay... so the Christmas posts are ALMOST done!  The last leg of our journey we traveled back to my parents via Lancaster (to catch up with our friends, the Oberholtzers) and Elizabethtown (to visit Grandpop and Grandmom).  We met Chad, Kate, and their little girl, Julia, at a McDonald's play area.  Kids got to play, we got to visit.  Verity about lost it when she saw Julia's bib... apparently she thought it was hers and got really upset until I showed her that hers was in the diaper bag... yeah.  We'll have to work on that one.  We had a wonderful time chatting with our dear friends and as always wished that we had more time together.  Here we are before we left:

We went on to E-town, but we have absolutely no pictures of our time there.. shame on us!  Anyway, we had a really nice afternoon with Grandpop and Grandmom.

Then, it was on to my parents'.  We decided to go back to cut our drive time down a bit (and also to watch Penn State play in the Outback Bowl... which ended up being a bit of a disappointment, but we still love our Nittany Lions!).  While we were there, we got to spend some time with long-time friends, the Duffs.  The kids got to open MORE presents (lucky them!)...

...and be silly with the party hats, necklaces, and just in case my kids aren't loud enough...NOISEMAKERS that my mom bought.  Let's just say it was a little loud for a while ;-)

Mom Duff... now I'll know what to get you next Christmas ;-)

The kids had a blast though so that's what matters :o)  They also got to play with a remote control car and robot, both my DAD'S... he's still a kid at heart ;-).  Micah's face was hilarious!

So that's it for 2010.  Happy New Year everyone!!!

Well those are some good-lookin' friends at McDonalds!!! ;)

It was so great to get caught up, and that bib thing was hysterical. Thanks for making our annual visit happen!
